Back in 2011, the Victorian Government launched an international design competition to restore and rejuvenate Melbourne’s Iconic Flinders Street Station. The brief they provided asked for a design that re-engergises the station whilst still respecting it’s heritage.
Six designs have been shortlisted and are open to members of the public to review and vote on their favourites. World renowned local and international architects and firms have been shortlisted including:

Ashton Raggat McDougall
Hassel + Herzdog & De Meuron
Eduardo Velasquez & Manuel Pineda & Santiago Medina for RMIT
John Wardle Architects & Grimshaw
